Governor Shettima Donates 30 Vehicles to Crush (BKH) Insurgents: Photos

Mansur Muhammad Dan-Ali, the Nigerian defence minister, has disclosed that some civilians who have been fighting together with the Joint Task Force against the Boko Haram sect will soon be integrated into the armed forces.
Defence minister made the revelation during a courtesy visit to Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state in Maiduguri, the state capital. Mansur Muhammad Dan-Ali was accompanied by Nigeria’s Chief of Defense Staff, General G.A. Olanisakin, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall S.B. Abubakar, and other army officers. He noted that many civilians had supported the army in counter-insurgency operations. The minister also gave the assurance to the residents that the end of terrorist attacks by Boko Haram sect would soon come. He said: “Since President Muhammadu Buhari’s assumption of office, we have gained more ground against Boko Haram terrorists. And I assure you the menace of Boko Haram will soon be over.”

Dan-Ali added that some civilian members would be integrated into the armed forces after necessary reviews. The defence minister appreciated with Governor Shettima for donating 30 sports utility vehicles to aid “Operation Dole Lafia,” the code name for the military’s counter-insurgency operations. The cars would reportedly assist to ease the task of the army. Borno state governor expressed his gratitude to the minister and formally presented the 30 vehicles worth N304 million. He added that the state government was determined to continue assisting troops in their fight against Boko Haram.

However: Many Skeptic Nigerian still disagrees with President Muhammadu Buhari recent statement  that Nigeria Army have technically defeated the Boko Haram insurgents saying that Boko Haram is yet to be crushed.
